The Crown

The Crown

"And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also (Genesis 1:14-16)."

There is going to be a rare nova outburst taking place in the constellation Corona Borealis, also known as the Northern Crown.  Astronomers believe the white dwarf star in the T Coronae Borealis binary star system (labeled in above image), will have a nova outburst occurring anytime between now and September 2024.  This nova outburst can be compared to a hydrogen bomb in the intensity of the energy released.  This outburst will look like a new star appearing in the night sky and the star will be as bright as the North Star, Polaris.  In fact, T Coronae Borealis is called the "Blaze Star" because of its fiery, sudden appearance during its nova outburst.

The last time T Coronae Borealis had a nova outburst was on February 9, 1946.  On this day, Joseph Stalin gave his first speech since the end of WW2 in Moscow (which was part of the Soviet Union but is now the capital of Russia).  This speech has been described as the beginning of the Cold War.  The Cold War was a period of tension between the Soviet Union and the United States (including their respective allies), that is said to have ended with the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991.  However, many would agree that relations between Russia and the United States have never recovered.

Joseph Stalin transformed the Soviet Union from a peasant society into an industrial and military (and nuclear) superpower.  However, he is mostly remembered for his ruthless dictatorship filled with widespread torture, terror, and executions.  Soviet Union citizens lived in fear and faced brutal oppression, suffering, and death while Stalin was dictator.  The Current Russian President Vladimir Putin's leadership is often compared to the leadership of Joseph Stalin.

Currently, the relationship between Russia and the United States can be described as tense and unstable especially due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine that took place in 2022.  The United States has imposed sanctions against Russia in response to this.  Russia has also expressed concern over NATO's eastward expansion towards its borders.  On March 18, 2024, Vladimir Putin warned the West that a direct conflict between Russia and NATO military would mean that the planet was one step away from WW3.  This is especially concerning because Russia is a nuclear power.   According to reports from Reuters / U.S. News in March 2024, Russia controls about 5,580 nuclear warheads.

This information leaves me questioning what the sign of the T Coronae Borealis nova outburst may actually say.

Will it have something to do with war and a Russian leader?

Is this sign foretelling another powerful leader rising up, who will be given significant power?

"And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer (Revelation 6:2)."

I must admit, that when I began writing this, I thought I would be linking this to the church receiving its crown, or something of that sort.  Instead, when examining the previous date in history when this sign occurred, the only event that I could find was the speech made by Stalin.

Upon consideration, a crown in the Bible can represent, power, authority, dominion or royalty.  The previous nova outburst highlighted a leader who was given great power, who was ruthless, cruel, and had many people killed.  Also, the previous sign spoke to a time period of powerful nations rising against each other, kingdom against kingdom, wars and rumors of wars.  These were also things that Jesus spoke of about the latter days.

"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows (Matthew 24:6-8)."

"And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows (Mark 13:7-8)."

"But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven (Luke 21:9-11)."

We have definitely been seeing great signs in heaven, and I am sure we will continue to see great signs as we move closer to our Messiah's return.  I encourage you all not to be dismayed by the fearful sights we see happening around the world, but pray for all the saints and brethren, keep your faith, lamps lit, stay vigilant, with your eyes toward the heavens, looking for the sign of Jesus's return.  The Bridegroom is coming soon.

To all those who read this,

The LORD bless you, and keep you:
The LORD make His face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you:
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.  Amen.
